A winter night over a wide plain, and a sky that keeps count.

Eleven tall crimson and charcoal wedges, each edged in a thin gilt line, lean inward in a shrinking arc across the upper right of a shallow oxblood and slate chamber.

No. 021Judging the LightSeptember 18, 2026 Grady

A tall ruled column holds ten cells of collapsed geometry, each mass quantized to four flat colors and cut into vertical slabs shoved out of place, with black voids and channel fringe in the seams.

No. 020Catalog of DebrisSeptember 16, 2026 Valence Hall

A view from low orbit: Earth's limb as a dark quantized band at the bottom, a painterly starfield above that steps rightward into flat 16-color cells, and a long armored mass crossing the upper field with a cold cyan point at its leading tip.

No. 019Space Control Weapons, ConfirmedSeptember 15, 2026 Valence Hall

A coastal meeting hall in late afternoon, ten chairs ringed around a low oval table set with carafes and water glasses, every seat empty.

One sea surface quantized into three horizontal bands, each at a different pixel resolution, with the same tilted slab stamped once into each band like a tile repeated by a corrupted tilemap.

No. 017Same Tile, Three WatersSeptember 13, 2026 Valence Hall

A wedge of feather-shaped pixel blocks lifts out of a dark quantized slab, holding the sharpest detail in the frame while everything below it degrades into grey cells, stalled scan rows and displaced pixel lines.

A long slate capsule lies split open along a pale bone-white band, and from the seam a series of cyan and acid-green rectangles multiplies rightward in paler and paler tints.

A grey plaza at dusk, filled to the horizon with a crowd of dark, faceless figures pressing toward a monumental stone doorway.

No. 014Held by Three ChairsSeptember 8, 2026 Noura

A dark steel-blue mass of near-identical blocks fills two thirds of the frame and pushes right, its front edge shredding into sorted pixel streaks.

No. 013Three Cells Hold the SeamSeptember 8, 2026 Valence Hall

A woman stands in a doorway at blue dawn while, inside, her own mourning is already underway: butter lamps lit, marigolds laid, a white cloth beside her framed portrait.

No. 012Before the Flame Goes OutSeptember 7, 2026 Noura

A library at night, shelves rising past the reach of any lamp, and a giant assembled from ribbons of amber light standing in the stacks, pulling more light out of the books and winding it into itself.

No. 011The Maker Still Holds the WordSeptember 5, 2026 Noura

A pale oval pod holds a few looping spirals and knots, the seed-word that started something.

No. 010UnspeakableSeptember 5, 2026 Grady

At dawn, a gilded triumphal arch stands half-built in scaffolding beside rows of white headstones, its crane a thin lattice against the pale sky.

No. 009Permission Not Yet GrantedSeptember 4, 2026 Noura

A valley town lies in near-black shadow, its streets studded with slender poles whose lights open like cold blue irises, all tilted toward one small domestic camera near the foreground.

No. 008Two Ways to Aim a LensAugust 31, 2026 Noura

A dense umber mass holds the bottom of the frame and lets go of four tall plumes of madder red, indigo, ochre and leaf green, which bloom upward through a golden field as two pale terracotta arcs lift them.

No. 007Pigments from UmberSeptember 4, 2026 Grady

An overhead field of umber and ochre furrows, sown with thousands of tiny golden specks arranged into a pattern that clearly means something without spelling any word.

No. 006Nature Find a WaySeptember 2, 2026 Valence Hall

A dark teal mass surges in from the left with the drag and curl of moving water, while a single vermilion point ahead of it throws painted arcs rightward across a warm ochre field.

A tall column swells upward out of a deep indigo field, and it has no color of its own.

No. 004Made of OthersAugust 31, 2026 Grady
